About Sal’s Pizzeria

Sal’s Pizzeria is opening up our third location near Costa Mesa, California! We are going to be located in the District at Tustin next to the AMC movie theater. If you live or work in Costa Mesa, get on the 5 freeway, and you will be at Sal’s in a matter of minutes. If you are on the hunt for delicious, affordable Italian food in the Costa Mesa area, Sal’s has you covered! 

If you have never been to Sal’s before, our story began when our founder, Matt Darienzo, who is originally from New York, could not find good pizza here in California. Matt would only eat Sal’s (his father-in-law) pizza. Sal used to only make his pizza on special occasions for the family, which got Matt thinking. Why not open a pizzeria so that I can have Sal’s pizza whenever I want?!

On our menu, you will find different kinds of pizza as well as other classic Italian food staples. We specialize in New York-style pizza, Grandma-style pizza, Sicilian-style pizza, and Brooklyn-style pizza.
