The original Sal’s was created because our founder, Matt Darienzo, loved his father-in-law’s (Sal) pizza so much. Sal would only make his famous pizza for the family on special occasions, which gave Matt the idea of opening up a pizzeria so that he could get Sal’s pizza whenever he wanted!
